Welding Strength Control of Turbocharger Vortex Shell Small Parts

 

    Turbocharger uses the energy of exhaust gas emitted by the engine to drive the turbine to rotate, and the turbine drives the compressor wheel on the other side to rotate at high speed, adding fresh intake to the engine and thus achieving a significant increase in engine power without changing the engine displacement.

    The rocker arm damper structure of a turbocharger includes a damper located at the exhaust port of the turbocharger flow channel, a rocker arm used to drive the damper to open or close, and a connecting plate assembly. During the operation of the turbocharger, the actuator mechanism receives a pressure relief command from the engine, pulls the connecting plate, and the connecting plate drives the rocker arm. The damper will be in a continuous working state of opening and closing, requiring greater torque for the welding strength between the connecting plate and rocker arm. The rotary welding process can greatly improve the welding strength between components, reduce the risk of fracture of the connecting component, and extend its service life.

     To effectively control the welding quality, our company uses a rotary welding machine with a servo motor and precision module as the welding gun movement mechanism. The welding center coordinates are recognized through a visual positioning system, and the three-axis CNC system controls the welding gun movement trajectory and speed, with timely action response. Customize specialized fixtures and welding parameters based on product structure, and replace high current spot welding with low current rotary welding process to avoid cold cracks caused by rapid cooling.
